If files such as anesthesia records or Case Time Data CSV files aren’t downloading, Safari may be blocking downloads from manager.xchart.com or case.xchart.com.

These instructions apply only to Safari on a Mac. If you’re using an iPhone or iPad, these settings aren’t available. Try the download again, and contact Xchart Support if it still doesn’t work.

  1. Go to Safari > Settings > Websites.

  2. Select Downloads from the list on the left.

  3. Look for manager.xchart.com and case.xchart.com under Configured Websites.

  4. If either website is set to Deny, change it to Allow.

  5. Check the When visiting other websites setting at the bottom:

    • If it is Ask or Allow, no site-specific overrides are required.

    • If it is Deny, change it to Ask or Allow, or follow the instructions below to allow downloads only from Xchart.

Adding Xchart overrides when the default is “Deny”

If you prefer to keep When visiting other websites set to Deny, you can allow downloads specifically from Xchart:

  1. Open Safari, visit manager.xchart.com, and sign in fully.

  2. Open a second tab and visit case.xchart.com. Keep both tabs open.

  3. Go to Safari > Settings > Websites > Downloads.

  4. manager.xchart.com and case.xchart.com should appear under Currently Open Websites.

  5. Change both websites to Allow.

  6. Close Safari Settings and try the download again.
