Developing a Private Xchart Integration

Use the Xchart API to build integrations, access customer data, and test your application.

Written by Henrik Joreteg

API Access

Xchart supports private apps via API credentials, and webhooks.

To integrate with an existing Xchart customer:

  1. The customer must be on the Advanced plan. If they're on a lower plan, they'll need to upgrade first.

  2. Contact Xchart support to request private app access. This is available to all Advanced plan customers.

  3. Once enabled, the customer can create a private app within their Xchart organization by navigating to "Apps" as an account admin and generating API credentials for your integration.

Setting up a Sandbox Account

If you'd like a separate environment for development and testing, we can help you set up a sandbox account.

  1. Visit Xchart.com and create a new organization. You can use your existing login and create a separate org for this purpose.

  2. Your new organization will start in setup mode. No payment method is required.

  3. You'll still need to complete the Business Associate Agreement (BAA) step. You can stop there and not complete the remaining setup steps.

  4. Contact Xchart support with the name of your new organization.

Our team will mark your organization as a sandbox account so you can begin developing and testing your integration.
